-Intro- Hey and welcome to the “Weekly Garble,” I’m Juls and yes you are listening to the right station which is WKNJ 90.3 Kean University. In the next hour I’m gonna give you all the songs that should be on your Ipods, computers, and wherever you listen to music. So, quiet down, listen up and pay attention because Ima be doing something a little different this week because if you’re like me then you listen to many types of music and many different artists, however, I find that I like more than one song from certain artists. So what Im gonna do is play a double helping of songs from your favorite artists and some newcomers as well. For all those who just tuned in, I’m gonna be playing a double dose of music from new artists as well as your favorites. Now to the music. My first two songs are from a new artist named Leslie Roy and you may know her from her song “Unbeautiful,” but I’m gonna be playing two other songs from her album. The first is called “Misfit” and is mainly about anyone that feels that they don’t fit in their own skin. The other song is one of my favorites and is called “Here I Go” and is for all the people that like to judge others very quickly and like to comment on how other people want to live their life. To all those people who choose not to understand other people or just want to bash people’s career choices, school choices, and just wanna put someone down cuz that will make them feel better about themselves, I say SHUT UP and you might as well change the channel now and tune into some other station cuz this one aint for you. Here’s Leslie Roy with “Misfit and Here I Go.”
-Host Chat- These two songs are from Lady Gagga, whos new to the music game and you may know her from her songs “Just Dance” and “Starstruck.” Im not sure where she got the name Lady Gagga from exactly but none the less she has a great pop, dance sound that is good when you want something upbeat to listen to. The two songs I’m gonna play are “The Fame” and the next is “Pokerface.” Here is Lady Gagga with “The Fame” and then “Pokerface.”
-Host Chat- This next double dosing of songs is from Katy Perry, who has a lot of breakthrough hits like “I Kissed a Girl,” “Hot and Cold,” and “Thinking of You.” The two songs that I’m gonna play now are pretty funny songs that are very relatable for girls because they both deal with a lot of girly things. But Ima let you judge for yourself if there any good or not…so here is Katy Perry with “One of the Boys” and after that with “If You Want Me.”
-PLAY PSA 1 & 2 HERE
-Host Chat- You are listening to the “Weekly Garble” brought to you by WKNK 90.3 Kean University. Someone actually made fun of the fact that I named my show the “Weekly Garble” and couldn’t understand what it meant. Actually they really bashed my whole show by saying that it was pretty much nonsense but I can’t say what they really said over the radio, FCC rules people. So you’re probably wondering where in the world I got the name “Weekly Garble” from well, the word garble came from something that a customer told me at my job. I guess he realized that I talk a lot of smack and instead of saying smack he said garble and since then the word has stuck with me. So I when I got the show I knew I’d be doing a lot of garbling and that it would be weekly, so tadah that’s where I got the name “Weekly Garble.” If you don’t believe that garble is a real word, then all I have to say is go crack open a Webster’s dictionary, cuz they add new words to the dictionary every year, and look it up. And if you don’t like that I named my show the “Weekly Garble” then go get your own show and name it what you want. Any who, back to the real reason why we’re all here, the music. The next two songs are from Britney Spears and are called “Kill the Lights” and “Radar.”
-Kean Events- “Okay, listen up cuz I got the Kean Events that are going on today and tomorrow. There is Black History Month Expose in the University Center today until 5. Also, in the University Center’s Little Theater there is an Are You Smarter than a Fifth Grader game show from 7 to 10pm. Tomorrow there will be Karaoke night in the University Center’s Cougar Den from 8 to 10pm. Those are your Kean Events now back to the music.”
-Host Chat- The next two songs are from a band that is currently on hiatus right now and is the first band that I actually loved. They are actually from New Jersey and the lead singer, Gerard Way graduated from high school in Bellville, New Jersey. There name is My Chemical Romance and I know, it’s a weird name, but I remember listening to their first album and watching their music videos on MTV, back when they actually played music and being fascinated with their music and performances. Their most recent album released was the Black Parade that I think was released in 07. But the two songs that I’m gonna play from them are from I believe their first album, Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge and the first one is called “I’m Not Okay” and is the other one is called “Helena” and that one is actually the first one of their songs that caught my attention in the beginning because the music video was so weird. So here is My Chemical Romance with “I’m Not Okay” and then “Helena.”
-Host Chat- The next artist I’m gonna play from is a new one named Duffy and these two songs are from her new album, Rockferry and you may know Duffy from her song “Mercy” but I’m gonna play her two other songs, the first one is “Stepping Stone” and the other is called “Syrup and Honey.” Here’s Duffy with “Stepping Stone” and “Syrup and Honey.”
-PLAY PSA 3 & 4 HERE
-Host Chat- Remember folks, you are listening to the “Weekly Garble” on WKNJ 90.3 brought to you by Kean University. My next two song choices are from the band Paramore and its from their first album, Riot. Paramore actually did a few songs for the movie Twilight, I think the song “Decode” became popular because of the Twilight movie. The two songs that I’ma play now are my favorite from the album and first up is “Misery Business” and then after that song is, “Last Forever.” Listen up.
-Host Chat- These two songs Ima play here are from my favorite band so far named Tokio Hotel and I played so many of their songs last semester, and they’re actually due to release their new American album by the end of this month. So here is Tokio Hotel with “Live Every Second” and after that its, “By Your Side.”
-Outro- Thank you so much for tuning into the “Weekly Garble” on WKNJ 90.3 Kean University. Make sure you catch the “Weekly Garble” Tuesdays at 1 for your fix of all the music that should be listening to. Keep it locked on WKNJ 90.3 for all the hit music you crave.

-Host Chat: This next song is from Britney Spears and is from her new album, Circus and is a favorite of mine. We all know the girl has been through so much with her face on the tabloids every week, but she has made a full comeback and her songs don’t seem to be leaving any playlists any time soon. After Britney’s song I’m gonna play a song called “Magic” from Robin Thicke’s new album, Something Else. But first is Britney with “If U Seek Amy.”
