"Weekly Garble" Proposal

The show that I will be doing weekly is called the “Weekly Garble” and I play a variety of music like pop, rock, and hip hop. I also play fairly new music from new and upcoming artists and also mainstream music as well. In the show I will play music, talk about hot topics of the week and play commercials as well. I will also have guests come onto the show from time to time and discuss Kean events as well as local events. I will do facts about the artists that I play and even have telephone interviews.
I will sometimes play more than one song from the same artist and may even turn that into its own segment on my show. The “Weekly Garble” is mainly a show that one can listen to hear an eclectic mix of music and touch on topics that could be political, or in the news or even on a holiday basis. I am even thinking of doing shout-outs for the holidays like St. Valentine’s Day and for birthdays, where people can call up and shout-out to a certain person or I can read them on the air myself. I think that segment will promote the station a bit more throughout the students of Kean.
The “Weekly Garble” will be a show that is solely hosted by me, but I am not opposed to having some guest hosts now and again. My show will be a mid-week show that is easy to listen to and get pulled in by the mix of music I play or the witty chatter. The “Weekly Garble” is more than just a chat show, it is a show that helps promote WKNJ 90.3 and highlights what is happening locally and world-wide.
